Enforcing Your Boundaries
When people see you as a victim...
When people see themselves as saviors or rescuers, they often do things that no one asked them to do. They look for ways to “help” people who never asked for help. In a sense, it doesn’t matter if people are willing or not, the savior types will simply look for things they can do that make them feel as if they are “helping.”
But, if it is you who is being seen as a “victim” who needs help and you try to explain that you don’t actually need help, they may get upset with you for trying to destroy their drama game. They can turn you into a persecutor quickly.
