So well said. The splitting is ever present these days.

It's everywhere. The corporate media seems to prop it up because it makes for great DRAMA which keeps people entertained so they want to continue to listen every day, like a soap opera addict.

I'd heard of splitting b/c kids (people) on the spectrum tend to do this, at least until they are guided to conscientiously avoid doing it, but I'd not heard of the drama triangle and it makes so much sense. So what these schools are doing (and the culture at large too it seems) are intentionally teaching DISORDERED thinking. I wish. more people understood this!

I’m glad you enjoyed the quick article! I learned about the Drama Triangle when taking an online class on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The Drama Triangle perspective has made the interactions with others so much clearer (because so many people fall into this trap of splitting).

I have found questioning beliefs (via CBT) to check to see if they are true in reality to be very beneficial. I didn’t write this one, but you may find it very interesting. In the article, Jon writes that schools are basically teaching the opposite of CBT which is causing mental health problems. https://www.afterbabel.com/p/mental-health-liberal-girls

Absolutely, I noticed it when I first analyzed the tenets of anti-racism and CRT. They absolutely teach the opposite of what CBT teaches, as Jon wrote in Coddling: That which does not kill you makes you weaker, and so on.
