This is a quick video joke. I saw it on Twitter, supposedly from Dave Chappele's latest Netflix special.
If you somehow missed it, I wrote about why people want you to use different pronouns. It’s because they don’t want to be personally responsible for feeling comfortable and want to shift that responsibility to you. It’s not your responsibility to ensure they feel comfortable being who they are.
The more people who stop taking on responsibilities that are not theirs to begin with, the better. Be personally responsible. But you don’t need to take on more than is actually your responsibility.

I work with a senior associate who identifies as a non binary person (biological). They dress in feminine attire. Within a month of my working with them I was scolded for using He/Him. I made extreme efforts to use their name as I don’t understand how to use the they/them/their language. HR advised me not to misgender and just use the name. It did not work and I was reprimanded two more times by this person. I apologized and explained that I had been using the standard English grammar for 30+ years. It is hard to learn and use a new language in real time. I did not realize it was part of my job responsibilities. The thing is I get along with this person. We discussed my pronoun struggle openly. Other workers had a similar issue. The global company in which we work describes misgendering as employee harassment and hate speech. This dynamic has made my job more stressful than it already is. The thing is, other than the gender dynamic we get along and can talk/laugh about stuff. So to be safe I physically avoid work spaces where this person is at. I fear being fired because I am made responsible for this persons mental health identity. Made to be a transphobe of hate speech for normal human error. It is not right! So I can relate to this posting in a big way.
