Something I kept trying to tell those who let Trump live rent-free in their heads was to stop giving him so much attention- especially after January 6th because he’d viewed himself as a victim the entire time and thrived on such attention.

It’s no surprise most of them didn’t get it being the types of people who often also play the victim role.

Instead of "Make America Great Again" (which of course makes a catchy acronym), couldn't we just oppose tyranny? I'd like the whole world to be "great again" not just America.

I never would have said Make America Great AGAIN, because adding the "again" is what people on the left disagreed with and it's what I consider to be too subjective. Everyone has a different idea of what was great about America and when was the best time, and it admits "defeat" by implying America isn't great any longer and that's why we need to change to make it great again. I NEVER understood why Trump chose to say, "Make America Great Again."

I love the idea of "America First" because that is what a President and what Washington DC politicians are supposed to be. Anything less is legitimately treasonous IMHO.

I think local politicians should be thinking, "My state first," the nation second, etc. Otherwise there is a betrayal to the state if they're thinking America First at the expense of their state.

I am all for the opposition of tyranny, something along the lines of "Freedom First," for the world would be something I could get behind.

I think it needs to go back to what it was. Anyone that is elected works for the people and they we (in power) are above them. They do our bidding. It's not that way now but needs to be!

Nicely put. Yes, there should be a "chain of command": My family first; My community next; My state next; my nation next; my planet next.

I'm very much pushing "Freedom First". Without freedom I don't care about what else is being prioritized.

Yup. You got it.

By the way, I responded to you in the chat feature. I think one reason why Substack may be pushing the app for the chat feature is that the notifications of new replies don't seem to show up in the notifications feature on the web browser, so the app must use push notifications. I don't like push notifications on my phone, so I won't be using those. I'll have to remember to check in on the chat every so often because I use it via web browser personally.

As for notifications of new replies on Substack's website, like your comment here, I receive a new email every time someone likes something or comments. It's just not that way with the chat section.

I've been shutting off "notifications" as I've realized we are starting to live in a very distracted world. So the only notifications I want are via email (which don't intrude on me and can be handled when I wish). I doubt I'll use Substack's "chat" much.
