I've written before about how Elon Musk is not a fan of “freedom of reach” and plays Savior, attempting through shadow-banning to save people from “dangerous voices.” Josh Slocum of The Disaffected Podcast I was recently on is being black-balled on various platforms. He's been banned as being a dangerous, hate-filled account on Twitter, supposedly against the LGBT "community" regardless of the fact that he is gay.
Yes. I would hope that all Patreon subscribers would switch over to another payment service, but I know what it's like when things like that change. Not everyone moves over when a channel / page is moved to another service. So I hope he can get more support in the future because it's a quality show and he deserves it.
👍🙂 Though you might want to suggest that Josh contact Twitter's Board of Directors directly instead of trying to go through Support. See my open letter to them some 4 years ago for details:
But for one thing, I expect Twitter has probably thousands if not millions of people clamoring to be let back on -- Graham Linehan for example. I saw a number of people tweeting Musk asking to reinstate Linehan, but only one of many voices crying in the wilderness -- so to speak.
I had asked for myself 6 weeks ago, but was turned down similarly to Josh -- "hateful conduct" for asking whether transwomen qualified as females. 🙄 No sense of humour there in Support ... 😉
You're welcome. I don't know if you saw the other comments, but someone suggested to you to write to Twitter's Board of Directors directly and shared a link on how to do so. I don't know that it would do anything, but maybe make you feel like you had tried everything you could to get this ridiculous treatment of people through their brains so they might do some self-reflection.
I am a huge supporter of Josh and Disaffected. I am a paid subscriber and wish I could do more. It is crazy!
